Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.

I’m Jo, a London-born, Cape Town-raised writer and speaker.  You can also find me on Twitter and Instagram.

My main projects at the moment are writing a book on still having no idea what I’m doing at 30, and I’m one half of MacroAdventure – a nine-month expedition from Alaska to Argentina uncovering and sharing the stories of people using business as a force for good. Yep, that’s a lot of ground to cover. Especially for a girl who still finds navigating London a high-octane experience….

As a writer, my work has appeared in publications ranging from ELLE to Huffington Post. I’m a keen speaker and commentator and have appeared on BBC News, spoken at events such as Oxford University’s Oxford Inspires, The Quarter Club and The Noi Club. I write and speak on a range of issues, primarily those related to millennials, careers (especially in the social enterprise sector) and feminism. While on our journey across the Americas, I’ll also be blogging regularly for Virgin Unite – you can find the latest posts here.

If you’d like to discuss working together, whether it’s commissioning me to write an article or blog post, requesting me to speak at an event or to discuss something else exciting, you can drop me a note here. For more information on me work-wise, here’s my LinkedIn profile.

The best part of my work is hearing from interesting people, like you! So drop me a note here if you’d like to get in touch.
